Virginia State ApHC All Breeds Fun and Games Show
Bland County Fairgrounds, Bland, VA
May 30, 2009

The Virginia State Appaloosa Horse Club held its first annual All Breeds Fun and Games Show at the Bland County Fairgrounds.  After months of hard work and coordination, the club’s first show was a success.  The show included a variety of classes from speed events to go as you please classes as well as pleasure and trail.  The weather cleared up after several days of rain and was very pleasant.  Many club members not only worked at the show, but also managed to show their Appaloosas in support of the breed.  The club looks forward to hosting the show again in 2010.

ApHC Music City Extravaganza

Murfreesboro, TN

August 22-23, 2009

This year the HCF show team traveled for the first time to Murfreesboro, TN for the Tennessee Appaloosa Horse Club’s August show.  This show was very exciting for us since it marked the first ApHC show for our weanling colt Dontskiptoconclusion (a.k.a Marty), co-owned by Adrianne and Anita.  Marty is a beautiful palomino stud colt born on Martin Luther King Day in January of this year.  He is sure to be a super star in the show ring with the possibility of a breeding career later on.  This was also the first ApHC show for both of HCF’s riding horses (Riley and Ray Ray). It was a great show for all three horses.  Marty received on Reserve Champion placing and several points.  We will plan on attending this show again next year.

Anita and Marty: Marty won the Weanling Futurity at this show as well as standing Grand Champion Stallion under one judge and Reserve Champion Stallion under two other judges (a 4 judge show). This is a huge accomplishment for a weanling and we are all very proud of him. We look forward to his yearling year as he continues to improve!
