Our
training at Hill Crest
Farm
consists of practical yet progressive
methods. We believe in creating an environment that enables the
horse
to learn with the least amount of resistance. The horses receive
one
hour of training five days a week. Training is composed of both
ground
work and riding. We take all ages and breeds of horses for
training. We
believe in bringing horses along slowly and safely in the training
process. Methods used for training are tailored to the individual
horse.
We have both 12 x12 foot and 10 x 12 foot stalls, which all contain
rubber mats and fans for summertime. Our current fee for training
is
$450/month which includes stall mucking daily, hay and grain twice
daily, and fresh water at all times. All horses must be current
on all
vaccinations and have a current (within 1 year) negative Coggins
test.
All horses will be dewormed every other month at additional
costs.
We
encourage our clients to come visit their horse and learn with the
horse to optimize the results of the training process. Clients
with
horses in training have the privilege of using the facilities for any
horse(s) they have in training. Facilities include a 40 x 80 foot
lighted
riding arena, an outdoor grass riding arena, round pen, and several
fields for riding.
Jeff Cox is the professional trainer at Hill Crest Farm. Anita
Cox
enjoys showing Hill Crest Farm horses as an amateur and is not active
with the training of clients'
horses at this time. |
